BEFORE PICS-Thanksgiving Day 2009

These pictures were taken on Thanksgiving ....at 265 pounds!....OMG. I haven't had any pictures taken in so long, so these are really eye opening. Notice how I wear all black to make myself look slimmer....hahahahahah! Who am I kidding? Just me!

  1. Yeah, the before pictures are kind of rough to confront. I did mine in a one-piece swimsuit - a very painful experience, to say the least. But definitely eye-opening, as you say. Print these out and put them in your journal along with your measurements.

  2. I agree with Sally. I took before pictures in a one piece swimsuit as well, at the very start of the journey when I had my first appointment with the Surgeon.

Then, I took more pictures of me in a tank top & tight bike shorts at the beginning of the Pre-Op Diet. I also took measurements at this time, as sometimes your weight may not change much but your measurements will definitely show it!

  5. Good for you for posting your pics. I had such a hard time looking at my before pictures. I'm waiting to take progress pictures until I'm down a significant amount because I'm scared I won't see a difference! But having the pictures is good so down the road we'll be able to see how far we've come!

  6. Before pictures can be hard.... but you'll be so glad you did it!!

BTW..... I live near Partridge Creek Mall.... I see you're in Royal Oak! I was banded August 6, 2009 by Dr. Gazayerli in Troy. Not sure if you're going to the same doc?

Best of luck with your surgery!! I'll be thinking about you!!

  7. Yeah the "before" pics are not fun NOW! But w/ every lb lost you will enjoy them more and more. And if you're like me, I feel sorry for the girl I see in my before pictures. But that's b/c I didn't even care enough to muster up a smile! It all gets better from here!
