1st Solid Meal after Fill #1
Just finished dinner and did OK. I stopped before I felt full because I am so afraid of the dreaded PB! I hope I never experience it, but am afraid I will one of these days. I had 1/2 piece of baked Tilapia...maybe 3 ounces, some brown rice with sauteed mushrooms (1/2 cup), some spagetti squash with grated cheese and a few slices of avacado. I ate it from a 9 inch salad plate and it was pretty full. I feel OK now. Not full but not hungry either. Although I do feel pressure where the band is. Not sure if that is fullness or some sort of GERD pressure thing.

I've had a few little PB's and they aren't as horrid as I thought they would be...to be honest, if you are a little stuck, that is not good. I feel panicky and out of control. And just a little PB brings up the problem. It isn't like throwing up, it's more like relaxing your body so that the food that isn't fitting can just come out...
ReplyDeleteKeep testing the amounts (with how long it takes to get hungry) as the 'pressure' may mean too full. Hope this fill works for you!
ReplyDeleteSeafood is a great choice - very lapband friendly. In fact, it's probably better to eat more of the fish and leave the rice off because it's high in carbs, even brown rice.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you're doing good. I have NEVER pb'd and I'm 7 mths out, I guess some people don't. Like they said above, just careful and take note of what you're eating visually so you can keep at that amount and not overdo it.
