8 months and 33 pounds later....

Not thrilled with the results or the I will
keep plugging away....I now see just how much harder
I have to work and how much further I have to go. So instead
of being discouraged...I am motivated!

  1. I think there is a BIG difference. You should be happy with the work you have done!

  2. Take another look GF (especially at the side shot)...there's a great difference!!! Stay the course and you'll get there!

  3. HUGE difference that I can see. Your hard work is paying off. Keep on keepin can do it. :)

  4. There is a huge difference! Keep on rocking!

  5. My Linda O...STAY POSITIVE. I am so damn sorry your loss has been slower than you wanted. I can't wait for you to get that place where you feel like you have turned the corner...I can't wait for you to be the one who gets to tell newbies how it took longer than you though, but you made it.

I know you will get there.

And until least you are beautiful :)

  6. Linda, it's been over a year since you posted. I hope you've been even more successful than you thought possible.

I'm also writing to ask you to post/email about my doctoral dissertation. While it's hard losing weight on your own, it's not necessarily easier with a spouse or partner. Sometimes partners/spouses undermine weight loss through acts like complaining about healthier food, gifting high-caloric foods, or even through abusive language/acts. I'm creating an anonymous, online survey to assess for partner undermining and to learn more from those who experience it.

To be eligible to take the survey, participants need to have experienced this in their current relationship (of at least the past 2 years), and have been participating in a weight loss program for the past 5 consecutive weeks. For more info, see
