I do think you've done your homework and you should stop second guessing your decision. You are ready!! You can do this. Make the phone call, make an appt. You can always cancel later if you need to!Tiffanihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06855737187547692682noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6981119706702849442.post-85845450422136624122009-09-02T08:57:18.890-04:002009-09-02T08:57:18.890-04:00Linda! There is always a reason not to do something as big as WLS, but there ar so many reasons FOR doing it!!!!

Make the call and talk to you doctor if you have any more concerns or questions, but I think you already know what you want!

I didnt get nervous until about 2 hours before surgery. Not that I had made the wrong decision but anytime they give you the sleepy juice I think it is natural to get nervous.

I am also glad to see you back on the blog!!!! Missed you!Amy W.https://www.blogger.com/profile/15765516850913923317noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6981119706702849442.post-78878676724171928882009-09-01T23:42:01.000-04:002009-09-01T23:42:01.000-04:00I think what you're experiencing is the last m...I think what you're experiencing is the last minute jitters when you realize how close you are to getting it. I went through the whole pre-op process and didn't doubt myself until 2 days before surgery. I think this is normal. You think, "what if I'm the ONE that dies? what if it doesn't work? what if I can do it on my own? what if what if?" but the truth is, we know what is best for us. this worrisome process is natural. And I personally think it was my "downer self" trying to talk me out of doing something that was good for me. you know? go ahead and call the md and you can work out your mental stuff while you wait the appointments and approval to come.Liz - Lizzle - Libby Louhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00035562478549837609noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6981119706702849442.post-82652591977664224152009-09-01T23:21:31.396-04:002009-09-01T23:21:31.396-04:00My opinion - go meet with the surgeon as soon as p...My opinion - go meet with the surgeon as soon as possible. Ask all of your questions and express all of your fears - THEN see how you feel. If you are still not ready then don't do it yet. Speaking for myself, when I reached the point of being ready, I knew it. I still had those little worries, but I knew inside that I was ready to take this step and leave the rest behind.Kinziehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08142748441014633988noreply@blogger.com
